What You Will Need

Acoustic or Electric Guitar

Acoustic or Electric Guitar

Do you want to rock? Interested in popular music? Students will need to purchase either an electric or acoustic guitar. I do find that beginner students can learn best on electric guitar, as the strings are easier to press down, resulting in less frustration when beginning. If you choose electric guitar, you will need to purchase an amp and guitar cable, with picks. With acoustic guitar, make sure the size is appropriate, and fits the student.

Guitar Book

Guitar Book

If interested in reading music ( notes) a guitar method book will be recommended.

Tablature Notebook

Tablature Notebook

When learning songs, we will utilize a tablature notebook. You want to bring this with you each week . I also request that the student brings a folder in which to keep music and songs. Theory will be incorporated by learning songs.
